In 2013/2014, it appears that the sector of food and beverages enterprises is experiencing a sharp shift:

  • The number of businesses increases significantly
  • As more units are added, the average turnover is decreasing
  • The new units lead the whole industry to rely more on paid work and less on the self-employed
  • Flexible / part-time employment of employees is spreading
  • Businesses show resistance to losses, obviously because they expect better performance.
