Panorama of Greek Industry was the annual review of industrial sectors in Greece which was commissioned by the Institute of Economic and Industrial Research (IOBE). In this content, OMIKRON undertook to cover the non-metallic minerals and steel industries for the years 2001-2002.
The scope of analysis for each sector included:
- Analysis of the structure of the industry
- Business trends over time
- Problems and possibilities
- Evolution of competition
- Prospects in the short and medium term
The analysis took into account the changes expected from the operation of the industry in the integrated European market, as well as from the competition that had begun to develop in neighboring countries, such as Turkey. Positive factors for the future were the projects for the upcoming Athens 2004 Olympic Games and the European Community Support Framework for this period.
