The study aimed at the completion and modernization of the port of Souda in Crete so that it can respond to the uses identified by the Master Plan of port of Souda.
Its uses mainly concern the service of various types of containers and dangerous loads.
Once the completion of the foreseen studies, the project will be mature and well prepared for its integration in the next programming period projects related to the Development of Trans-European Transport Networks, the National Transport Networks as well as the links between them.
OMIKRON SA was responsible for the compilation of the the feasibility and viability studies.
The contracting authority is the Ministry of Infrastructure, Transport and Networks / General Secretariat for Public Works / General Directorate of Transport Works / Directorate of Port Projects and Airport Projects.
